Bird's Eye View

written by Jenny James

It's morning. The sun is shining and the neighbours are singing. Time for some breakfast.
Flying out over the treetops I can see for miles. The hawks don't visit until late afternoon so there's no need for watching where I'm going up here.

My cousins are having a race over yonder where the eucalypts grow tall. They fly far and wide in the attempt to dodge the branches while at the same time reach the finish line first. There's 22 of them in all and it makes for some hilarious scenery. Sam and Fred are constantly side swiping each other to see who is the strongest. They are often told off for doing this but they don't listen.
